After owning and operating the most prominent surfboard repair shop in Rincon, Puerto Rico for 5 years, Tony Palaia moved to New Jersey and opened a new one. It was here he began to focus his extensive experience with surfboards on experimenting with his own designs and honing his handshaping skills. Now, after more than 13 years of building custom surfboards and 15 years of professional repair, Tony has developed a commitment to using traditional AND alternative composites and cores to enhance modern performance. The most exciting boards built in South Jersey are built at The Forge under the banner of Palaia Surf.
